15-19 November 2009: Melbourne Convention and Exhibition Centre, Victoria, Australia
By Militza Richard
The Australasian College for Emergency Medicine will host its Annual Scientific Meeting— acem action09 — at the Melbourne Convention and Exhibition Centre, Victoria Australia from 15 - 19 November 2009 following on from the Spring Racing Carnival.
Open to everyone interested in the practice of emergency medicine, the event will feature an interactive program with little downtime and a special focus on trainees.
In addition, the event will be the college’s first green conference. “During conference planning, we adopted an environmentally aware policy. We wanted to ensure we made a real improvement on the meeting’s environmental impact and not just a green-wash,” said conference chair Dr Diana Egerton-Warburton.
There will be no paper programs or books at the conference, and the meeting has had a comprehensive carbon audit.
